The Dyneema® Advantage: Precision Engineering
At the heart of our elite racing line is a sophisticated hierarchy of certified fibres, including Dyneema® SK78, SK99, and DM20. Our SK99 constructions offer a 7:1 strength-to-weight ratio over steel, allowing for smaller diameter lines without sacrificing the Minimum Breaking Load (MBL). This performance is rooted in a gel-spinning process that creates a molecular architecture where loads are carried by primary covalent bonds. To ensure “work-ready” stability, all racing cores undergo proprietary factory pre-stretching and thermal setting to mitigate constructional stretch, ensuring the line is torsionally stable and “race-ready” from the moment of installation.
Advanced Cover Technologies and Operational Resilience
Professional racing requires managing the FACTs: Fatigue, Abrasion, Creep, and Temperature. Our specialised hybrid covers utilise blends of Technora® and Polyester to shield load-bearing Dyneema® cores from the high-frequency friction generated during rapid winching and easing. For elite applications, we utilise Dyneema® SK99 to provide a 7:1 strength-to-weight advantage over steel, allowing for smaller diameter lines that reduce windage without sacrificing break load.
Leveraging the superior fatigue resistance of certified Dyneema® SK78, our racing lines provide a significantly higher cyclic life than generic HMPE or steel alternatives. For applications where maintaining a consistent rig tune is critical, we offer Dyneema® DM20—a creep-optimised grade designed with molecular “anchors” to prevent permanent elongation under sustained high loads. For the racing team, this translates into 3x the service life and a rig that holds its precision tune longer, providing the confidence to push the boat to its absolute limits.
