English Braids ATR rope forms part of the steel replacement range in standing rigging. Designed to transfer torque throughout its length, the rope offers a viable alternative to traditional furling gear.

English Braids ATR has been specifically designed to resist twisting to operating in top down furling systems. Anti-torsion rope has a unique torsional stability that transmits the furling gear rotation direct to the head of the sail.
The rope adopts a triple fibre composite constructed to resist torsional forces from furling gear. It has a twisted aramid yarn core, braided in an 8 plait stable form to provide high strength and low extension. The aramid core is contained within a monofilament sleeve that retains the core and provides the resistance to twisting. Over the monofilament sleeve is a sheath of twisted polyester
yarns laid hard on to the intermediate sleeve to give stability and resistance to external abrasion.
Secured to hardware through sewn termination the rope offers compatibility with all majors hardware brands. The product is delivered through the yacht rigging community.
