What does your rope supplier do to help you?

Yacht Club talks

English Braids are constantly looking to increase both brand awareness and knowledge of ropes within the market place. English Braids yacht club talks were started over 15 years ago and have grown steadily since then. The primary aim of the talk is to bring the manufacturer closer to the end user and increase the knowledge in the market place. We often do these talks in conjunction with a local chandler or similar business. English Braids typically do not charge for these events.

Boat Shows

The UK based boat shows have been critical in the overall development of the brand and image in the UK over the last 25 years. The show gives us the opportunity to display the full range of product and speak to the general public on all matters concerning ropes and braids while actively promoting our distribution channel. We tend to work in conjunction with chandlers and manufacturers where possible to ensure that the maximum benefit is derived from the event.

We welcome both public and trade customers to visit us to discuss both existing and future business plans. In addition to the UK boat show we also exhibit at the trade only METS show at the RAI in Amsterdam. This is a fantastic show where the majority of the global trade are present.

Point of sale

English Braids have worked hard to ensure that the presentation of the product is corporate and professional. This is key to the successful marketing of the product to the end user. The investment in point of sale material has been important in elevating this image to the end user. We are constantly looking for ways to improve this area of the business and look forward to releasing many new enhancements in the following year.

Area coverage

English Braids understand that face to face business is still a vitally important part of day to day business. Resisting the temptation to move to a remote sales model has ensured that we have been able to maintain our strong customer base in the UK. Our highly experienced sales team are in place to ensure that the customer has all the support necessary to enable them to grow and develop their business.

All ropes and not the same. A key part of this development has been the training and education that we, as a company, are able to deliver. It is vital that this message is installed with our partners at the point of sale to ensure that the customers appreciate the quality in the product that they are purchasing.

Stock product

Stock holding is key to the service that English Braids is able to offer. By holding large stocks it is possible to support smaller partners to ensure that it is the manufacturer that takes the majority of the overhead in the sales process. This is never more so than with the large variety of products available for the marine market.

English Braids website

The new English Braids website has been designed with both the trade and end user in mind. There has been an effort to make the site both interesting for the end user but informative for the trade customers. The trade area has been added to provided an online resource to find up to date accurate information quickly on our product range.

Competitive pricing

English Braids believe that we offer a first class product at a competitive price. The consumer wants a product that represents exceptional value for money. This is a differing proposition than lowest price point. English Braids has always aimed the product at the higher end of the market. This product positioning has proved to be the correct level for the UK marketplace.
