English Braids has had extensive experience in the duct rope market and has created many of the specifications that have become industry standard today. Most projects are customer lead with kN break loads being specified above diameters. The following products are some of the more common in the market place. All of the products are manufactured to appropriate British Standard.

A pre-stretched heat set polyester double braid delivers exceptional all round performance to many markets. The 24 plait cover provides high levels of wear and better core coverage than other constructions. The heat setting process means that the rope is perfectly balanced and avoids kinking. It is easy to splice with low stretch at working loads.

A 3 strand centre core covered with a 32 plait outer 100% polyester cover. The balance to the rope is created between the inner core and outer cover. The product is pre-stretched and heat set creating a flexible hardwearing product. It is possible to splice this product.

Similar to the Ebraid 3 but with a 12 strand centre core for ease of splicing. This rope is made in 100% high tenacity polyester. The braided cover gives the durability and sheave wear resistance and our precise heat processing reduces the stretch to make this a high performance sheet rope. Ebraid is spliced by riggers for retention of strength.

A true kernmantle rope with multiple 3 strand ropes inside a polyester cover. Specialised and used mainly in cable pulling.

English Braids spunstaple polypropylene is an economical alternative to polyester and nylon. This rope is buoyant, soft to handle and splices easily with good durability and strength. As with all of our polypropylene ropes it is UV protected.
