Production Director
English Braids is looking for an energetic career focused production manager to help move into new developing markets. The role will suit someone that is keen to make a name for themselves in the production management arena and wants to be part of a new business ethos within the company. The company is coming off the back of a record year and has ambitious projections for growth within 2012 with the obvious requirements from production to support this activity. The position will be based at the head office in Malvern, Worcester.
The role will include the following duties,
- Overseeing the production process, drawing up a production schedule;
- Ensuring that the production is cost effective;
- Making sure that products are produced on time and are of good quality;
- Working out the human and material resources needed;
- Estimating costs and setting the quality standards;
- Monitoring the production processes and adjusting schedules as needed;
- Being responsible for the selection and maintenance of equipment;
- Monitoring product standards and implementing quality-control programmes;
- Liaising among different departments, e.g. suppliers, managers;
- Working with managers to implement the company's policies and goals;
- Ensuring that health and safety guidelines are followed;
- Supervising and motivating a team of workers;
- Reviewing the performance of subordinates;
- Identifying training needs.
The individual should have the following skills and attributes

- ICT literacy especially with respect to Database and Spreadsheet work.

The successful individual will have experience in some of the following areas,
- Experience with in-depth working of MRP systems within a manufacturing business
- Experience with HR issues within an organisation with respect to the production teams.
- Implementation and management of ISO9001 and other quality standards such as CE marking.
Salary
The salary will be based on experience but will represent market levels.
Management Accountant
English Braids is the leading UK manufacturer for braided ropes and cords based in Malvern. We are currently seeking to employ a Management Accountant to join the finance team within the business.
Duties will involve:
- The preparation of monthly management accounts
- Processing payroll for weekly paid staff
- Management of company financial systems
- Data integrity and system development
- Compiling of reports and financial analysis
- Sales and purchase ledger controls and preparation of statutory accounts.
- VAT and Intrastate submissions
- Streamlining current business processes
The position would suit an ambitious graduate or person that is looking to develop into part of the senior management team within 1 to 2 years. Working closely with the finance director the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day financial operation of the company whilst also working as part of the team forming a group of three companies, headed by the FD.
The right applicant for this position will be logical and methodical, be able to work on their own initiative, possess good attention to detail and will be required to demonstrate first class accounting skills. They must be outgoing and confident and enjoy working as part of a team.
Training will be available for the correct candidate, if required, in order to develop into the role over time. More senior positions will also be considered as part of succession planning for a growing business.
Salary will be based on experience and qualifications but will reflect market rates.
